The board of NREA, through NRECA Executive Search, is seeking candidates for the position of General Manager. The Board is looking to continue and grow its positive reputation and relationships within the state of Nebraska, the rural public power district and the rural electric cooperative program.
NREA seeks candidates of high integrity with strong demonstrated leadership skills, management and team building experience along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to establish healthy links of communication that will enable the promotion and distribution of information, exchange of ideas and experiences among the member-systems to improve the operations and effectiveness. The ability to think strategically in order to move the Association forward with its mission is imperative. Operational management and organizational development skills are imperative.
Applicants should be thoroughly familiar with the economic, social and political environment in which today’s electric utility industry operates. Successful candidate will be responsible to establish and maintain effective working relationships among allied systems and other organizations to create interest in common principles and purposes for more effective action on policy matters that are important to member-systems. The ability to represent the Association and its members before the public to obtain understanding, acceptance, and effective support for the rural electric systems and their objectives is essential. Nurturing rural public power district and cooperative relationships with federal and state legislative representatives to obtain their support on those legislative matters which affect member-systems objectives in order to effectively advocate for public power in Nebraska is a must.
The Nebraska Rural Electric Association (NREA), a Touchstone Energy member, is the private non-profit trade association for 33 rural electric systems that provide electric service to consumers in most of the rural areas and many of the small towns in the great State of Nebraska. Together, the more than 995 dedicated employees of our member-systems serve approximately 234,000 meters across more than 86,000 miles of line. Nebraska County Attorneys Association
The Nebraska County Attorneys Association is seeking applicants for an Executive Director.
The Nebraska County Attorneys Association advocates for public policies that strengthen county attorneys’ ability to secure justice for crime victims and serve as legal counsel to their county.
The association provides continuing legal education programs, service, support and resources to the county attorneys and staff to enhance and improve the quality of all prosecution throughout the State and facilitate access to best practices in law enforcement and public safety.
