The Nebraska Society of Association Executives (NSAE) is gathering feedback from anyone interested in pursuing the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. The CAE demonstrates commitment to a career in association management through lifelong learning. Individuals pursue the CAE for a variety of reasons, including professional development, career planning and professional pride, dedication to their career, a personal belief in the association profession, and self-fulfillment.
There are eligibility requirements and an application process through the American Society for Association Executives (ASAE). Once your application is approved, candidates are eligible to take the CAE exam in December or May. If there’s enough interest in Nebraska, NSAE would consider offering a study group to help candidates study and prepare for the exam.
NSAE currently has at least 8 members that have earned the CAE designation. If you are interested in becoming a CAE, or would like more information, please contact Janet Seelhoff, CAE, at (402) 476-3852 or jseelhoff@assocoffice.net.
